Designed and built for rent
The scheme consists of seven towers sitting on a podium slab with an 81 coach park underneath.
There are 743 apartments varying from Studio to 3 Bed. Blocks A-F are Discounted market rent, and block G, is a PRS. The external facade is made predominantly of brick and glass. The project has CFA/Rotary piles, with an insitu concrete frame.
Of the 743 new homes delivered, 303 of these will be London Housing Bank equivalent units and are rented at no more than 80% of market value, including service charges, which is consistent with the London Plan thresholds for intermediate affordable housing.
Roof terrace
Canada Gardens incorporates a sky garden and residential terrace on the 26th floor of this landmark scheme. The shared roof terrace will provide views of London and Wembley Stadium. Residents will also have access to a clubhouse, BBQ area, allotments and a one-acre podium garden.
"I am immensely proud of what Sisk has achieved at Wembley Park over the past 15 years. They have been at the helm of delivering this new neighbourhood for London, unique in its heritage and offering."
Digital Smart Containers
Considering the complexity of this project, we required an innovative solution to enable our teams access to project information, quality checks and tasks for each flat simultaneously. Secondly, the ability to link specific site activities to the 3D model allowing our project managers to visually track progress. This led to development of a digital mapping solution linking project information to containers on the BIM360 Field platform by assigning unique QR codes to flats and considering each a ‘Digital Smart Container’.
Sisk has invested significantly to provide its project delivery team with the right tools and knowledge to get the best out of BIM and digitisation
As a family owned business we understand the value of our impact on local communities
Our story with Sufra
In 2014, Sisk approached the food bank Sufra based in Brent with Christmas toy donations, but having seen the poor condition of the premises our team went in to give it a complete refurbishment with new equipment the following year.
This included a professional catering kitchen, fire safety equipment, new toilets, full rewiring and new walls, partitions and flooring. This has helped Sufra reach out to more people with emergency food aid, access to training, employment opportunities and services that improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable people.
Supporting local schools
Sisk teamed up with Young Enterprise to embark on their School Engagement Programme. Young Enterprise is the UK’s leading charity that empowers young people to harness their personal and business skills. They work directly with young people, their teachers and parents, businesses and influencers to build a successful and sustainable future for all young people and society at large.
